Living for the Weekend

This weekend was truly perfect. Saturday morning began with a wonderful smoothie for breakfast with Matt before getting ready for a fun day. I failed to take a photo, but I will get better at doing so from here forward! It consisted of frozen banana and blueberries, Fage 2% Greek yogurt, unsweetened almond coconut milk, then topped with raw gf oats, crunchy flax cereal, halved grapes, and pb. ‘Twas delicious.

Kaci and I had planned for a coffee twinkie date at Flow, A Brew Parlor. Unfortunately, being that Knoxville is a college town, downtown is overtaken by game day festivities, so parking was scarce. We decided to visit Remedy, which worked out perfectly because they will be moving to a new location next month. So this gave us a chance to enjoy it together before the move occurs.

Kaci brought one of her pumpkin muffins made for scratch, which I thoroughly enjoyed with my latte. Such a gorgeous latte at that!

I have always loved old fashioned-looking lamp posts. This area of town is one of my favorites!

I bought this brew by Intelligentsia from Remedy to try at home on my pour over, and it is very good. It’s not bitter but is strong and tastes wonderful with a splash of Cruze Farm milk.

Kaci enjoyed a blondie, which she graciously shared with me, along with their cold brew served in this beautiful purple Mason Jar! Side note she looked adorable in her orange and white, sporting her new bag from Planet Xchange. I, on the other hand, forgot all about wearing my school colors. Whoops. πŸ˜‰

Later on that afternoon, I did some shopping at TJ Maxx, and I do believe I hit the jackpot.

I found Purely Elizabeth hot cereal, Wild Friends cinnamon raisin pb, pesto, figs in a jar, dates, organic Pukka chai tea, Voss water (I love it because I then get a glass bottle to reuse many times over), two terra cotta dishes, Chia Green Leaf Squeeze it Vitality Packs, and I won the Blue Avocado (re)zip pouches on Instagram!

I couldn’t resist buying more paper straws, these in particular because of their fall/Halloween colors.

Mason can be seen here modeling his two new pillows along with the accent lamp. He’s quite proud of his digs!

I love the colors, and they’re filled with feathers, making for very comfortable pillows.

Matt and I love the shape of the lamp along with the crackled glass and burlap shade. I know I’ve said it before, but I’m just so happy with how our place has come together. I *think* it all matches but not to a fault. I’ve always envied magazines in which different colors, patterns, textures were used without it looking discordant. I, instead, tended to be too matching, so I’m happy to be mixing it up now! I think our space truly reflects us.

Lastly, I snagged two cute dresses, one even on clearance, and a fun button down tunic/over shirt! I just wish I could’ve kept shopping to my heart’s content. They have such cute clothes calling my name!

I finally got my butt down to Hard Knox Pizza, and boy was I glad! I was fortunate to have dinner with one of my very best friends. πŸ™‚

Stefanie is such a beauty inside and out!

I had a hard time deciding but finally went with ‘The Holyfield’ along with their house salad drizzled with lemon parmesan dressing.

When I used the restroom, I saw this adorable canvas that of course I had to go back and snap a photo. #fortheblog πŸ˜‰

Stefanie found and shared this with me. I’m a sucker for food puns!

Friday marked my sixth workout at The Y using their ActiTrax program, so I was given this free tee. Also, I’ve earned enough points at Born This Way Body Arts that I received this free zip up hoodie!

This morning Matt and I enjoyed a bowl of the Purely Elizabeth cranberry and pumpkin oatmeal made with Cruze and topped with banana, fig, and Wild Friends cinnamon raisin pb + the Mexican coffee.

As always, I’m feeling very thankful for everyone and everything in my life. I hope you all have been enjoying your weekend too!
