Opa!

Friday didn’t quite go as planned, unfortunately. One of my tires went flat on me and was in need of being replaced, so instead of meeting with some friends at their place, Matt and I had a night-in. While the tire was being replaced, I was thankfully able to walk over to Spērō for a harvest tea latte sweetened slightly with pumpkin spice syrup. It was perfect, especially with our chilly, rainy day.

Saturday morning began with a homemade chai latte using Pukka organic chai, local honey from The Fruit and Berry Patch, and Cruze milk sipped alongside Kath’s baked pumpkin oatmeal. It was perfect!

I bought these terra cotta baking dishes at TJ Maxx, and they are awesome. I topped ours with hemp hearts, golden raisins, pomegranate seeds, walnuts, crystallized ginger, and a dollop of Fage 2% plain Greek yogurt flavored with vanilla extract.

I took care of some laundry and decided to change out our bedding to a fall/winter comforter.

I really love it, and I think the purple looks so nice! It looks just as pretty with our owl canvas too.

I went to the Y to get a little exercise in for the day, and I’m so thankful for my membership.

Before even going inside to use the treadmill, I had to start with a few laps around the field. Autumn skies are my absolute favorite!!

Despite being a Knoxvillian for so many years, I regret that I have never attended The Greek Fest. One of the customers at Matt’s work gave him four free admission passes the other day after I had already decided to go. Score! So his sister-in-law, who I consider to be my own sister, joined me along with Matt and my friends Mitch, Betsy, and their adorable son, Atlas.

We enjoyed the dancing and festivities as well as the food. I mean, the menu was the first thing I reviewed when deciding to attend. =D

Mitch got this delicious gyro sandwich.

We enjoyed a sampling of desserts that completed our experience.

It was a fun time, and the best part of it all was the company. Stay tuned tomorrow for my review of the second annual Pickle Fest!
