to relive my incredible weekend!! Matt and I had our engagement photo session yesterday, and I loved every second! I just wish we could do it again.
I made myself a tea latte at lunch on Friday – Breakfast in Paris with warmed + frothed Cruze strawberry milk. It was excellent!
For dinner on Friday, we had some more of our lamb roast over spinach with sautéed asparagus and bell pepper along with Alexia sweet potato fries.
I finally did some baking for us! I made Erin’s (blogger for Well Plated) chocolate chip-studded banana bread. I’m so happy to say they turned out well! I made them gluten free for us but otherwise tried to stay true to the recipe.
So we each had one for breakfast on Saturday along with Fage 2% Greek yogurt, frozen blueberries, fresh raspberries, chia seeds, and peanut butter.
Matt hard boiled half a dozen eggs and enjoyed two with melted butter.
I met Kaci at K Brew, and it made my day!! We soaked up the sun and chatted for a while before heading on to run some errands.
Iced Americano for me with some half-and-half swirled in. So refreshing!
We picked up my pup-nephew, Axl and headed to the dog park.
He was so excited to see all his friends! Is he not adorable?
The weather this weekend was utterly perfect.
I got home late, so I made us a quick dinner: salads with organic chickpeas, a delicious artichoke spread from World Market, and gluten free toast with avocado and cumin.
I met with my make-up artist for our trial, and I am so so pleased with her talent! She spent time listening to my thoughts, and she wanted to know more about my style and our wedding. She’s so professional and wants to be sure her work aligns with our taste. I was admittedly unsure at first because I’ve never seen myself with this much make-up, but I fell in love. She used air brush and just like she said, it seemed to get better as the day went on! She also said humidity is air brush make-up’s best friend, so that made me happy!
Our photographer took so many unique and wonderful shots – I cannot wait to see them! We started at K Brew (one of my favorite places!) and then we drove along to different places around that area of town. I so loved the fact that we had a plan but also winged it. I think that’s the perfect representation of Matt and my personalities – I’m more the planner while he’s more laid back. 🙂

At the last stop, we all found a TON of four-leaf clovers, and Matt even found this huge five-leaf clover!
I want to say this is my first ever four-leaf clover find. =D
Matt and I decided to eat dinner at Sunspot, and boy did they not disappoint!
Matt chose a vodka drink that included mint, pineapple juice, and ginger beer while I sipped on the virgin version. Love the mugs.
I noshed on one of my blackened salmon tacos along with Brussels sprouts but saved half the plate for my lunch today.

Matt chose their pork loin wrapped in bacon with collard greens, grilled pickled peaches, fingerling potatoes, and a delicious barbeque sauce.
He added a side of black beans as well.
